Napa Gold VS Napa Platinum

I bought two of the Platinums the other day. I'm going to run them whether there's 20 micron size particles in the oil or not. If I look down the center tube and thru the center tube holes, I can see the wire backing holding the media. The wire backing looks stout.

I'd like to point out that filtration efficiency improves as the filter is used... so anyone using a synthetic-type filter for sub-10K oil changes is cheating themselves on both filtration and the excess cost of the filter.
