Leer 700 Tonneau cover. Lost the key and it's in the locked position.

I want to sell it but to remove it, it has to be in the open position. I don't know any numbers associated with it. Is there an easy way to open the lock?

Ditto the previous comment. Call a locksmith and let them know the situation. Odds are it won't take them very long to get you taken care of.

On all of my lids and toppers, there is a small code stamped on the face of the circular lock cylinder.

Call your nearest Leer dealer with that number, and if they don't have a key already on hand, they should be able to get you one in a few days.

Gave them the 5-digit code stamped on the lock. The local Leer dealer said that Leer said they don't have keys for a cover that old, it's an older model. But said they do have handles for $60.

Which to me sounds like nonsense. Waited a whole week to tell me that.

Going to visit a key person next.
