I had to pinch myself when I saw a check in the mail from Pennzoil. shocked2

This was the "fall synthetics" promotion they had back in September.

Problem is, they only paid me for one rebate and not the maximum 2 rebates as stated in the offer. I bought two jugs of PP 5W20. So instead of $20, I get $10. I don't think I will fight it as it's just not worth my time. Pennzoil, YOU WIN. I'll deposit the check and move on.

The check is dated January 7th, postmarked March 10 and it arrived in today's mail.

This still doesn't change my opinion of Pennzoil rebates. I think it's a bit of a joke and I don't think I'll buy any of their products that offer MIRs again.

I don't buy any MIR anymore for the same reason.

I hate getting a letter 6 months later telling me that my MIR was not accepted.

I always save the rebate forms for my own information. Should I not receive my rebate in the 6-8 weeks it stated on the form, I will call the 1-800# and they'll send it right out if they haven't already...or tell me if/why I was rejected!

Another one looking out here.
I'm not too disappointed, since PP was $24 the last time I bought a jug, so anything is a bonus. At least I only tried one of these rebates. I did, however get some FRN points (only after getting a reset code, of course).
I submitted my purchase MIR by mail. I will try electronic this time. If not, I could possibly get some FRN points again.

What's weird is I've done both the QS AND Pennzoil warranty rebates which were both quick and reliable. Not sure, but they may go through a similar process or department?

Oh and I never see Pennzoil Ultra at any of the nearest 3 Wallymarts to me.

You could fight it or, in my experience, you could bang your head on a wall, same result (well, no, the banging head experience you know your head will hurt, with SOPUS you have no idea what will happen.)

I got all my rebates from SOPUS but I am done with rebates. A lot here feel the same way after all the shenanigans pulled by multiple sources.

After calling Pennzoil's rebate service # back then, getting confirmation that my purchase would be valid, then having the rebates rejected, and calling again... it was clear they just wanted to fight about it.

Returned the oil!

I've bought quite a bit of oil since then, none of it Pennzoil smile

I promised my MIR 50 cents off Shell gas card to my girlfriend. I noticed the last few weeks her tank was ALWAYS low so i finally asked.. She was waiting on the MIR card to come in.

Shes so cute. Lol.

The MIR for shell gas , should be done through website and they email you codes...
thats how it was for me.

I've read it could be online as well, but in this situation I had to mail the receipt along with an info sheet I filled out online.
