Mazda CX-7 Any real stories of reliability...?

I would be very careful, turbos and neglect do not go along too well.
I would forget the warranty and look at the car as if I was buying it "as is". If it looked ok and I would be comfortable buying it "as is", then extra warranty is just an added bonus.

I would under no circumstances buy the car just because it has extra warranty. Too many people have this mind set, forgetting that it's a third party warranty, full of loop holes for the provider and plenty strings and obligations that the purchaser must adhere to in order to meet the warranty requirements.

If the warranty is not car maker backed(likely not) these company's have a nasty habit of going out of business, painful to collect on or language that if you go 1 mile over prescribed oil change intervals its null and void.

Dealers switch hands too and the warranty is useless too.

Thanks guys. I've actually talked my wife out of it, and shown her some of the horror stories.

I don't trust many dealers, so you're right, as an "as is" deal I'm not too comfortable with it.

Thanks for the replies!
