Gumout All-in-One vs Techron?

Techron is the original PEA additive made by Chevron.

Gumout is a very old brand surprisingly, that made a product to solve varnish residue problems in machinery during WW2. But PEA being a component is likely sourced or licensed from Chevron itself.

Personally I would use a bottle of Techron. But up here in Montréal I can only find Gumout with Regane High Mileage or Redline Complete Fuel system cleaner as my sources of Techron PEA.

If it smells like fish, it is the good stuff! TM

Not all PEA is the same. Having said that I have only seen results from Gumout, not Techron. I only tried Techron once, though. Every time I have used Gumout (AIO, HM or or plain FSC) I always see a boost in MPG.

I have gone to the Gumout AIO because I can get at least 2 tanks out of one bottle.

I have had good results with PEA, and find it is the following tank with the best MPG.

I don't find the cleaning lasts very long.

I can imagine the filth of burning 42 litres of gasoline, so I guess you can only do so much.

During the last visit to Walmart, I only found regular Gumout Fuel System Cleaner and NO high mileage or all-in-one. I hope Walmart is not planning on dropping it.

Now that you mention it, Vikas,, I noticed the same thing Monday . I'm in northern NJ. At the time, I blamed it on a weekend rush...I wonder...
