Shell Helix HX7 10W40 - http://www.shell.com/are/products-servic...ix-hx7/hx7.html

I wanted to know which oil is more better, if they are sold at the same cost.
I am focusing more in sludge removal and engine cleaning characteristics.

Additionally, which oil can be used for longer OCI's?

Not enough info. Better for what? We need to know engine, driving habits and conditions, does your oem specify something and do these oils meet that requirement.
As far as sludge goes shell had an independent third party test some of their product line,I think its called a sequence ? Test.
Someone here will know what the test is called.
Anyways sopus focuses their advertising on their oils ability to clean,so I'm sure they do clean however M1 5w-30 meets the Honda spec for cleanliness so if comparing these 2 oils its likely a toss up.
I know of no testing of total products so I cannot comment on them.
Personally I'd pick the one that's easiest to get. If all things are equal I'd lean towards the shell product
