There's really no bad news to report for this first sample from your S600's V-12. Metals look great

here compared to universal averages, which are based on an oil run just half as long as your sample. Iron is

exceptional considering the longer-than-average oil run, as usually longer runs leave more iron in the oil.

The viscosity was half a shade low, but that wasn't the result of excessive fuel dilution and it's not hurting

anything, so we wouldn't worry about it too much. No water or insolubles were found, and the TBN was solid

at 3.2. Great engine and great report!

Looks like the M1 0W40 held up well. It was run for exactly 1 year. Currently running M1 0W40 with factory (fleece) filter. Factory air filters as well.

Exactly. Factory service minder is set for 10K or one year. I don't like looking at it on every start up, and there could be a warranty issue for exceeding it, so I changed based on time...

Great looking report, the oil held up extremely well

Excellent.

May I suggest some additional information to round out the report?
The operating conditions (short vs long trips, spirited vs gentle driving, winter driving or not) and the model year.

The car is a 2005, and it's driven principally on long trips....a few moderate trips, once in a while, it's driven to work, but that's 15 miles on mixed highway/city. About half of the mileage was with the previous owner, a friend, who used it much as I did. I generally drive pretty easily, but I can't resist full-throttle acceleration now and then...it's just too tempting.

No real winter/cold weather, and I am very careful to have the engine fully warmed up (15 minutes run time) before using full boost.
