I'm trying to get a few skulls completed so I can decorate my shop walls.

I mixed a little angry orange up with some water. Hopefully it will make for very little work before the bleach process.

Yes I do use 40% hydrogen peroxide for the bleaching/whitening process.

I've heard of people boiling pig skulls in large pots outside, leaving it someplace safe for it to rot off (and not get carried off by dogs), and finding the largest ant pile you can and burying it there.
Never heard anything about Orange degreaser.

I've also heard of soaking in bleach, and Hydrogen Peroxide.

But all I really know is to keep it outside and away from your wife.
