I may need a new Group 35 battery for the Accord, and am between the Duracell made by Deka (East Penn) for $84 at Sam's Club and the Autocraft Gold for $81 at AAP (with online code). Both are 3 year free replacement, but the Autocraft is prorated after that where the Duracell is not. Are Autocraft still made by Johnson Controls? any opinions which is better? Thanks!

I think the guarantee beyond the free replacement is useless.

Edges of cell caps are cut at 45 degree angle. Harder to tell for batteries with no cell caps.

Yes, a JCI. Until the Chinese figure that out and make JCI looking batteries.

I'd pretty much call that a dead heat, unless you can find a better discount code to lower the price on the AAP battery.

Buy from the vendor that is most convenient for you.

Go for the best warranty, even if the after 3 yr pro-rated is not much, it's still more warranty.

My personal experiences with Deka batteries has been AWFUL.

I got $90+ of pro rated from Advance once, and at least $40 all other times. I wouldn't call that "useless".
