About to start a 1998 Dodge Caravan 3.3L on a two bottle treatment of AutoRX. The van has ~110k miles. It is leaking some oil to boot. The oil was changed about 1500 miles ago to AMSOIL XL7500 5W30. I was informed that the leak was already there after the fact of changing oil. Do I really need to change the AMSOIL SDF oil filter during the first 1500 mile cleaning phase? It seems like a waste to throw away a filter that can go 7-10k miles on an OCI when it has less than 2k miles on it. But maybe it wouldn't be a waste?

What do ya'll think?

just change the filter. You'll need a clean one to get the best results from Auto RX. Besides, theyre only 5 bucks. Pat yourself on the back when ya go buy a new one.
