Does anyone know for sure (one way or another) if DEXRON LS 75W-90 Gear Lube is synthetic, semi-syn or dino base gear lube ? The GM / AC-DELCO bottle it comes in does not say it is or isn't , but it does say it is on their 75W-90 Synthetic Gear Lube. Just need to know for 100% certainty.

Dexron is normally reserved for the GM auto trans fluid.

Normally if something is a partial syn or full syn fluid any bottle will tout it as such. I would think it's just a non syn is my guess.

If it is GM part number 88862624 (DEXRON LS GEAR OIL 75W-90) it is a Limited Slip Differential lube made by PetroCanada and has GroupII and III base oils.

That is the part# , so it is not synthetic ?

I emailed them and got this :

Hi Brad,

Thank you for submitting your question to the Petro-Canada Lubricants website. Dexron LS Gear Oil 75W-90 is a synthetic extreme pressure automotive axle lubricant with limited slip top treat package. It is formulated for GM Axle Service Fill applications.

I hope that helps.
