I get a 12% gain in mileage using acetone in 87 octane gas at 4 oz per 10 gallons...or a .32% rate. Cost is $.31 per 10 gallons.

acetone will desolve your rubber seals and hoses...very risky.

I filled up with V-power a week ago. Could be just unlucky with a bad tank but my truck pinged like crazy on the slightest load. I experienced the same pinging problem a couple years ago in a different truck, same shell station though. Anyways, after driving 10 miles I stopped and put in 3 bottles (33 gallon tank) of octane boost before it went away. Usually use 76 or Chevron.

If I had somewhere to put it I would have drained it for use in lawn equipment.
