I would think that 91 percent drug-store alcohol dissolve any wax.

Better yet would be 100 percent, denatured alcohol that you get at a hardware store.

And even better would be 100 percent without the denature that you get through a chemical supply company, but you have to have the proper papers to purchase that stuff.

The fuel additive called “Heat” is pure alcohol.

That has bleach in it, so be careful. It could damage or discolor rubber and plastic.
 
Bon Ami 1886 does not contain bleach, this is the original formula.

New formula is not recommended for glass.
 
This works well, used it many times.

i used barkeepersfriend last night, after i saw it in this post, i do not think it did anything, i am going to give it a good wash today (i do cleaners like that at night so it does not dry in the hot sun)

And the glue for tinted windows. Never use ammonia based products in a car.

If you are looking to strip the wax off a windshield I would use a 50/50 water/vinegar mix and clean the window. It will strip the wax off the glass and clean extremely well.
