I have about 600 miles on the Auto-RX in my van. Being a work vehicle it makes a lot of short trips, probably 10 miles at the most, and it's obvious to me that it's winter and cold outside.
The engine is smoother already but will the treatment work as well since it isn't getting up to full temp or at least not staying there long? I try to give it a highway run once in a while but that's not always possible, especially with the weather as bad as it's been the last several weeks I'm driving my 4x4 truck more.
This should not be a problem. Just run the van when you can and as you stated try to take a long drive when possible. This is good for the oil also as it needs to burn off condensation. The Auto-Rx will still do it's job at the rate you are going.
Just for contrast, I am doing an Auto-Rx clean on my El Dorado and started it in November and have only put 8 miles on the engine.
