Here's a VOA report for the sample of the virgin Mobile 1 5W50 I recently had tested. It's a light 50 grade, but looks to have a pretty good additive package with a high (13.1) TBN. The Zn and P numbers match really well with their advertised spec of 1100 and 1000 ppm respectively. Perhaps Blackstone Labs finally got their equipment calibrated correctly.

Thanks for doing the VOA on this oil as I have been hunting around for specs for a while.

Where are you able to purchase this oil?

Here's where I purchased the M1:

No it does not, the 1000 ppm Phosphorous concentration exceeds the maximum 800 ppm allowed by the spec. Motorcraft 5W50 motor oil is the only oil I'm aware of that bears the B-spec label. Castrol Syntec probably meets the spec, but doesn't carry the label.

That's true for Castrol's new Edge formula, but their API SM formula had less than 800ppm of P.

Thx for this great VOA!
Actually, available quality here a little bit different: TBN number (11.8) is lower, but viscosity (17.5) is higher. Probably reason could the uncertainty of measurement.
