Hi all. I just saw an ad from an auto parts supplier, that claimed the Lucas Oil Stabilizer prevented "dry starts". It reminded me of the old STP claims that it "clings to cylinder walls". Does anyone know anything about this stuff?
Thanks.

This product has been discussed before but I searched and could not find it. It will cling, thats for sure but imo there are better alternatives out there.
If you were to go to Bob's old site he has a additive link, that will tell you more. STP if I remember correctly will do a better job at protecting than the Lucas product.

Just my opinion, out of all the oil additive supplements" for boundry protection" available I only think 3 are usefull and worth buying, all 3 are very different from each other. The Lucas is not included in "my" three for what it's worth.

If you want to eliminate dry starts, you want an oil with moly in it. Or Schaeffer's moly additive.
