Zinc Free Turbine Oil

I've noticed that ISO VG 32 turbine oils now generally state "Zinc Free". Just curious what is or was the problem with zinc additives in turbine oil? Obviously there are no catalytic converters that the zinc might possibly damage.

Anyone know what the advantage to zinc free turbine oil is? I Googled for quite awhile without finding the answer.

Some turbines and engines have bearings that can be corroded by zinc.

Also, environmental reason, where there is any possibility of leaks.
