Found someone selling Mobil 1 synthetic 0W40 and I'm not sure if it is the right specification for our car- 1999 Mercedes ML320 with about 116,000 miles. The seller gave me the following specifications from the bottle.

ACEA A3 B3/B4
API SM,SL/CF
SAE 0W40

I found a list of MB approved oils for 1998-2004 models and it lists a Mobil 1 Supersyn european car formula 0W40 229.5 or 229.3. Wondering if it's the same type the seller has. I'm pretty sure it's OK but the Mercedes spec document was a bit confusing. The ML320 has about 400 miles left on the Flexible Service System monitor- our mechanic changed it last March with 108,000 miles with a 5W40 syn but I don't know which brand.

Mobil 1 0W40 is the right choice for your ML320. M1 0W40 had name changed several times the last 10-15 years, from Super-Syn to Tri-Syn to whatever it is today.

You can buy 5 quarts M1 0W40 at Autozone with M1 oil filter (M1C-253 ?)for $34 and may be 2-3 extra quarts at WM for around $6.xx a quart. Regular price of M1 0W40 at Autozone is $8.xx/qt. Or buy 10 quarts M1 0W40 with 2 M1 filters for $68.
