Column 1 are values with this oil at 2700 miles through 6200 miles. Second column is interval 6200-9700.

Vehicle had just come off a hot roadtrip of about 1200 miles, a lot of that in temps of upper 90°s/low 100°s and through mountains. Other miles are 50/50 highway/city.

Tough luck for an oil to be tested in an engine that is still breaking in. Wear metal values are pretty consistent. I speculate that they will begin to drop after 10K miles. Viscosity also held consistently.

I didn't order TBN because of the changes and uncertainty with the lab these days, but they gave it to me anyway. Who knows what 4.1 means.

No red flags here, I don't think. Engine is sound and runs great. No apparent mechanical concerns from this report. Middle of the road performance, perhaps, for Royal Purple.

Well, at least they are trending downward, which is to be desired and expected. This oil went in at just over 6000 miles, and so gasket gunk vapor and residual would still be around.

I've never had a Ford engine that was new in this era, and so I don't really know what the ring wear and seating patterns are--I don't know what is typical for iron in this engine at maturity. This one is the 4.2 V6.

I guess that's what UOAs are for.

Like others said, the silicon looks high, but it doesn't look like its dirt, probably still gaskets and such leaching at the lower mileage.

Lead looks high if this was a modular V8, but I see this is the v6. I haven't seen any analysis on these, so tough for me to say whats normal a full break in.

Trend looks OK for now though.
