'97 7.3 PS 1st Oil Analysis

I have been reading here for the past hour and starting to learn. Figured I would throw out the first analysis and see what you all say.

The truck was bought new by my father and for the first 60k miles he ran Rotella and then Amsoil.

I bought it with 107k miles and after reading I used Schaeffers 7000 15/40 and here are the results.

Sure others will chime in-but it looks like you could have gone a lot farther than 6300 miles on it-that is an EXCELLENT TBN rating of over 11-many of the new HDEOs start out lower than that!

This was the first oil change since going to Schaeffer's. Plan is to run it to 6000k miles and have an alaysis done at that time. We'll see how it goes. I only put about 8k miles a year on the truck and really want to be able to change once a year.

That should not be a problem to go one year with that kind of mileage.

Excellent report. The Schaeffer's did well and can easily handle a one year change interval (or more?).

Also, I am glad to see someone else using Wearcheck. I really like the detail and layout of their reports.
