I have a question for everybody. It is said that Lucas is just a heavy oil with little to no additives, so then what about how sticky Lucas is? Wouldn't it be sticking to everything in your engine like bearings?

That's a question for Molakule, however it may just be a tackifier like what is used in chainsaw oil. Hardly beneficial for your engine and the stuff causes aeration.

Thanks for the interesting article. I'm guessing the same results with the synthetic lucas. Was the article also stating that a syn blend is better than a full synthetic?

That pics are the important past IMHO. Shows what adds do to oil.

I've been driving automobiles for over 25 years and don't use any oil additives.

I tried STP back when I was a kid and all it did was make the oil thicker.

IMO, all oil additives do is transfer money from your pocket to someone else.

I am actually more of a fan of SMB dollar tree products than Lucas. My dad put a bottle of Lucas in my engine when he changed the oil and now when I start it up after sitting for a few days there is smoke coming out of the exhaust. That could just be a coincidence, but before we had it in there the engine was in the same condition it was always in after he put it in there.
