sounds like a hub-o-meter type deal.

If they make all right turns one odometer will be a little higher than the other.
 
Most automatic inflation I see uses 2 hoses for the rear axles. Hubodometers or fleet tracking devices do not use a cable back to to chassis.

Seems kind of high-tech for a city with nasty, nasty buses. But two pesos will get you from the airport to downtown BA if you can stand the noise and crowding. Sometimes you'll see a bus with a hydraulic suspension system, but usually (on the 8 bus) you'll see that it's a clapped out contraption from the '70s.
