When acetone is discussed as a fuel additive, many have tested seals and parts in it to check for swelling as part of the whole picture.
This is a big change from what is normally reported!
In any case, the massive dilution in actual operation would attenuate the results.
There are some components in common gasoline that are more destructive than the ones tested. They are so diluted, it does not matter.
