I'm getting ready to change my PSF and wanted some input on Valvoline MaxLife PSF. I went to my loacl advanced auto parts and the only reputable PSF brand was Valvoline. It's only $4 per quart. This will be the first time the car sees new PSF fluid. It has 28k miles. It's a 2009 Subaru Impreza 2.5i

i have used Valvoline power steering fluid in just about every power steering system i have worked on for the last 15 years and have never had oil related problems

Use ATF+4

This is where I get confused. My owners manual says nothing about ATF. It says to use PSF. I went to the amsoil.com site and used the vehicle selection on the home page. It listed all fluids that were supposedly compatible. It listed ATF for power steering. I haven't been able to come up with a solid conclusion on weather or not ATF is "ok" to use
