The cleaner that you use must be one that does NOT leave a residue.
Many "contact cleaners" leave a film to retart corrosion (or tarnishing).....which is BAD for the MAF application.

So....a Non-residue electronic cleaner would work......or a "MAF cleaner".
Give the product label a careful reading to verify the non-residue part.

I've only used MAF spray-on cleaner. But if you google about MAF cleaning, there's lots of recommendations. I've seen people recommend contact cleaner, brake cleaner, TB/Carb cleaner, and plain alcohol. One website recommended dunking the MAF sensor in alcohol, letting it soak and swishing it around. With all the varied methods, nobody reported a problem using any of these.

Use a dedicated MAF spray cleaner. Anybody's.
Some electrical contact cleaners say they leave no deposits, but also say they leave a protective film!
Use a labeled product. The MAF and air temp sensors are sensitive.

I thought only CRC made the MAF cleaner. I have not seen any other MAF cleaner on the shelf.
