But even if the caliper does not rust other things can and do. I have a Jeep Cherokee and it has a horizontal surface on the combo rotor/drum. Even if my caliper were gold plated I would see this rusty surface through my rims.

Once again I must lead a charmed life as I have used remanfactured/rebuilt/factory rebuilt, parts like starters, alternator, engines ect, ect., with no problems ever. Have purchased factory refurbished products as in power tools and home appliances, and have yet to have a problem with anything. I'm charmed, I guess.
