on viscosity cSt @ 100 C for 5-20 5-30.
A while ago, someone mentioned the specs for 5-20 have enough leeway so some 5-20's are actually 5-30 and visa versa.
I have reasearched the various manufacturer specs on individual oils, but do not know the (API?) specs for the range in different grades.
I am currently using GTX 5-20 in the 4cyl Accord and would like to switch to the lightest 5-30 available. -hoping it is PZL PLAtnum

If you have a fluid that falls in a 20 grade ..but has less than a 2.6 HTHS ...then it's not designated a 20 grade. It's denoted by its cold spec. A 10w-20 with less than a 2.6HTHS is just called 10W. I've only seen this on a 20 grade.

Joe Gibbs 0w-10 is a 20 weight.

Is there anything newer available?

Search around. I don't think the table has changed.

The spec has had some revisions. My IHS shows there was Jan 1, 2009 rev. (I would love to see it!!) But do you have $74 to buy it (electronic copy)
