"3.9% fuel in Oil is Normal?"

If oil consumption and fuel economy are normal you don't actually have 3.9% fuel all the time. Could have had 3.9% fuel in the sample though.

According to my Blackstone reports, fuel should be less the 0.5. If you did not have the oil warmed up well when the sample was taken than the sample is the fault. If the sample was properly taken than, yeah you have a problem. Either a stuck fuel injector or just a lot of short trip driving. Adjust your OCI for this if short trips are your issues. Fuel is not a good lubricant.

does driving WOT a lot have any effect? when i take my oil cap off it smells like a gas station... lol

Just wondering if the newer engines that have "direct injection" of the fuel would be higher than what you would typically see in a normal "fuel injected" engine.

My Lexus is direct injected.........would I see higher fuel in the oil numbers???
