..but they appear to be pretty common 3/4-16 thread filters with under a 3" can diameter. You should be able to swap up in size if you have no clearance issues. You can use anything you have room for. Most have 2.8/2.4 gaskets. The main difference is can diameter and can length.

As long as we're here I might as well be productive.
The equivalent is the HP2009 from K&N or M1-209 from Mobil 1 or ST3600 if you're going cheap.

I assume the OEM filter # is 1205001 (5205002 is OEM longer version).

Or MotorCraft FL400S ($2.50-3.00) if your arrangement can handle the extra length - it's almost 5" long. The filters the guys listed (love Bill's lists!!

) will work on most Briggs engines, and a lot of cars and such, too.

I used to have a Huskee garden tractor with the Kohler 20HP Magnum. This is an opposed twin-cylinder engine in either horizontal or vertical shaft. It's not a Vee-twin; it's a flat twin. You can't break these old engines. They have cast iron cylinders; not cast iron liners, but cast cylinders! They are not overhead valve, but valve in block by design. Not as efficient, so they get overshadowed by the Command and Aegis, etc. I'm not sure if they even make them any longer, but I did just find one in the Northern Tool catalog online, so who knows? As far as filtration goes, I don't think this engine would know the difference if you shoved cheesecloth into a beer can and strapped it on, but I digress ...

Back on topic:
The original filter is 52-050-02 from Kohler. The direct x-ref is the 51348 from Wix (and other brand equivilants). In nearly all applications, a longer filter will fit. So, a Wix 51516 will work too; better filtration specs, as well.

Either filter will work more than adequately, and be very easily available for a good price point at any WallyWorld or local auto parts place.
