Traded my Mazda CX-7 for this...

I hear aftermarket exhaust aren't really making a major difference on these cars. I've look under and the exhaust is a nice mandrel bent ~2 1/2" piping. I might replace the rear muffler section and then add header.....eventually. Exhaust wise, headers are the biggest gains.

You should replace the muffler with some spinning mufflers

My, my, my, those would be quite the remotes! I'd have fun programming those!

Sick car, and kinda fun that it's your DD and not just some show car. Plenty of passing power!

Nice Vette. LG long tube headers would be my 1st mod to this car.

I no longer have a Vette cause I have twins and need a 4 door car, but if I didn't....I would beg my wife for a new one.

It currently has something like 260 miles on the odometer and I plan to dump the factory oil at ~500 miles. I'm swapping the Mobil 1 for Pennzoil synthetic.

The one thing I hate though is that since this is actually my daily driver, I have to drive it to work everyday. That wouldn't have been an issue 6 months ago, but we've moved since then. I have to park the car in the middle of a field designed to teach military students all about construction equipment (bobcats, loaders, dump trucks, etc), so it get VERY dusty sitting out in the open. Oh well, not much I can do.

I don't have major plans for the car. For now, an Airaid intake. I have to do a lot of research on this car to see what works and what doesn't.

Rick

Oh, such hardship...you HAVE to drive a Corvette to work everyday!

:p

A friend of mine got a drop top / auto in a little darker red for his wife a few weeks ago.

They are really, really, nice cars. He got really excited when I told him that if he thought the LS3 was powerful now, just wait until it has about 10,000 miles on it.

I couldn't even figure out how to open the doors on the car!

A friend of mine got one of the fist 2005 C6 Corvettes. When he got home he had to get the manual out to figure out how to shut off the engine.

Be sure to show any passengers how to get out of the car if they get locked in. It's not obvious.

Before I even opened up this thread I was thinking "I hope it's a new Vette I hope it's a new Vette I hope it's a new Vette"

So awesome to hear it was!! Congrats!!!

What the heck happen to the links? Anyway, I only have 400 miles on the Vette; but I did open it up a bit on Friday. Well, my old 2002 Camaro ran a 12.99@108++ MPH practically stock and with 6k miles on the clock. This Vette would absolutely run over the Camaro any day of the week. This is a wicked fast car. I can only guess what the ZR-1 would feel like. It's the closest to flying you'll get!

It's a 2009 Corvette LT1 (base model) with the LS-3 engine and 6-speed manual. It is victory red with ebony interior. I can't stop staring at it.

A car cover is a WISE investment for your car and where you have to park it. Keeps it clean and you'll learn how to take the cover on and off with little time.

Hope to see your photos soon. I LOVE

Vettes and would love to have one...

Someday maybe. My uncle and I had a 1960 that we restored. Wish we had it now.. It would be worth some REAL $$$ instead of what we sold it for back in the 80s.

The bone stock record for an LS3 Corvette is 11.71 at 120 mph! So they definitely haul! I can't wait to get one someday!!

An LS3 Corvette can get over 30 MPG on the highway, and about 20 around town.
