Difference - Delo 400 15w40 and Delo Gold 15w40 ??

Where I live , they cost exactly the same. I know that Delo 400 is a CI4+ spec and the Gold is a CH4 spec , but why do they cost the same ?

Do they use different base oils ? Are they both group 2 ? I noticed the ISOSYN logo on both.

How good are group 2 ISOSYN base stocks compared to group 3 and 4 oils ? Do the additives make up for the cheaper base stocks in Delo compared to group 3 HDEO like Shel and Mobil ?

I dunno.

In Oz, we had Delo 500 and Delo 400.

The 500 became the Delo Silver, a Delo Gold popped up, and Delo 400 stayed.

We have the Silver here as well. But its allot cheaper. i am confused as to why Gold and 400 cost the same :-?
