Not me, the owner did.

She decided to top-off her power steering reservoir with Prestone Power Steering Fluid. The system takes Dexron/Mercon. It's a 06 Corolla.

Should the system be flushed and filled immediately? Or is there nothing to worry about? She probably added 4 oz at most.

I wouldnt worry... many PS systems seem to interchange ATF and PSF like there is nothing to it.

If it is a system that needs an oddball fluid, then I might, but otherwise, I'd not sweat it.

Many older MBs are specced for ATF, and folks find that if their system starts to get a bit leaky after 20 years and a few hundred thousand miles, that for whatever reason PSF causes less seepage/leakage.

Not a spec-based answer, but practically, it seems that they can be used in substitute of one another. However, some systems might be more sensitive... tough to say.
