I'll be the first to admit that I don't know much about this brand of oil, so I contacted them. I have now shared several emails with Laurent Siret in their NJ office. I have sent emails to a lot of oil companies, including the one I work for, and I have never received as prompt and courtious reply as I have from Laurent Siret. If the quality of service has anything to do with the quality of the product, then this will be some first rate oil.

Thanks Motorbike for the info.

The two products that I inquired about were their EXCELLIUM LDX 5W40 & EVOLUTION SXR 5W30. As case is 3/5 liter bottles for $97.50 which breaks down to $6.50 per liter. They pay the UPS charges. You can also get it in a case of 4/4 liter bottles and 18/1 liter bottles, but it's more expensive that way.

Did they provide you with full specs for all of their oils? There's basically no information on their website.

They sent me an application chart for their products for each mfg, but no spec sheets. But I did not ask for one. I do know they meet all the ACEA specs and all the European mfg specs. I'm sure if you emailed them, they would provide them for you or at least try to get them. I would send a email to Laurent Siret at the following email address.

[email protected]

I tried calling but their offices are now closed. I thought this was Mobil 1 in a different bottle. Anyone know who makes this oil? Elf? North Pole?

Elf is one of the best euro oil companies. I wouldn't hasitate for a second to use one of their products.

What a nice time I had meeting and talking with a USA Distributor for the ELF products awhile ago , right here in Oklahoma too . Came home with posters , product data sheets ect .

I've used a variant of one of their 0w-30 for going on two years now and it's the reason I was on the hunt for this oil. What a studly liquid device to have in your engine

He was out of stock with the Excellium 0w-30 so till then I gotmesum

Evolution SXR-5w-30 5.10 per liter in 5L jug - singles 5.84 per liter

ELF Excellium 0w-40 8.35 per liter

And the young Son of mine Motor-Trike is going to try the ELF Excellium 5w-40 @ 5.10 per liter in his Turbo motor .

I believe ELF is a French company and I wouldn't buy anything French no matter how good it was.
(Judging by my brothers Renault LeCar it would,t be very good anyway). I read in todays NY Post
that many of the missiles killing our soldiers in Iraq are French made and were sold to Iraq AFTER the war started(and when Iraq was under an embargo). The French are ****bags who never appreciated the fact that America saved their asses in WW11.

Yeah Yeah so what ?

Americans make money selling French tires and more .

It's a global economy and even though the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor it appears many AMERICANS do not swear at them when they get in their Toyota's , Nissan's and drive .

This is an oil section of the forum . Leave your problems at home .

BTW , how many members on this forum of French decent to include our Canadian friends would be deeply offended at your needless remarks ? Do you consider them to be the ****bags you speak of ?

How many fine US Citizens are of French decent ?

Got something against them too ?

I look for better oils indeed . It started when I was a kid , got a one off crank and rods for my Mopar by luck .

Liked having something not generally of the norm ever since .

Thats not why I married a French woman though .

I guess I could quit posting these links about various oils so Walmart oils could be the main topic

i wonder how much the 0w-30 Excellium LDX is? prolly around the $8 a litre mark but may be worth it and is definetely competition to GC except for the price.

Or perhaps, Excellium 5w-40? definetely go for this over M1 5w-40. Im sooooo happy ELF oils are here! again, sorry for the outburst of excitement!

Somthing I found doing a search. Sounds impressive. Maybe some of the euro members can give us a clue on this oil?
