Anyone know how to find out what's required (in detail) for dexos 1 Gen 2? I did look in the Afton Handbook but it stops a 'old' dexos.

One year with the required full synthetic + filter was what I was thinking when I posted this. Sounds like most agree. Think I'll try Castrol Magnatec 5W-30

Looks great to me. Oil viscosity is well within spec, TBN is extremely good, and there seems to be no issues with other contaminants. Keep it rolling with this Mobil 1.

I am wondering that too... What is the "good oil"? I know which one is the best already. I just don't know which one is good yet

made a switch to M1 0-40. previous fill was castrol gtx 5-30. i forgot to mention to [censored] that i had my oil pickup tube replaced during the last interval, so if silicon comes up that's why. seems the oil did shear just a tad. i'll probably run

OP: Should I change my oil ? This is BITOG, if you have to ask, then you need to change. To be honest 13,000 KM (~ 8000 miles) is a decent interval. I did my oil today at less than that, but it was 6 months old and if I didn't do it today, it woul

Assuming it's stock, not running extra boost, etc., just change oil and filter every 15,000km and the engine will last forever. Honestly, being a low revving engine with a big oil capacity, you probably could do 20,000km between changes, but I person
