Funny you should mention this. MC gear oil (and Mercon V for that matter) is surprising hard to come by. Considering that you can get Motorcraft Oil almost anywhere I thought I was just going to walk into Wal-Mart and leave with MC gear oil and Merc

Looks excellent to me at ~4200 miles. 'Generally speaking', in my observation, excepting some 820S the MC filter anecdotes posted including the 500S and 910S have looked good. Thanks for c&p.

That works out to about 29.4 mpg in the old Imperial gallons or 23.5 US. I scoped out E rated tires for off-road and deep snow use and came up with Cooper ST Maxx in 265/60/18. Problem is, they weigh 54 LBS and add considerable to un-sprung weight.

Another confirmation for the Mobil 1 - 75W90 LS. I have used it in many vehicles from my Firebird FORMULA Rear Differential to a Lexus AWD Transfer Case and Differential. All with great success.
