Hard to go wrong with Michelin's, although I prefer the Defender LTX M/S or whatever they are calling it now (LTX M/S -> LTX M/S2 -> Defender LTX?)

Yes, agree 100%. My LTX M/S2's have 66k on them and are still good. Not down to the wear bars.

I'm a very happy owner of Sumitomo Encounter HT and don't have a slightest reservation to recommend the tire.
