Which Amsoil and which HPL?

This is only for Amsoil or HPL users. If you use Amsoil, which engine oil do you use? SS, Hi Mileage, OEM, etc. If you use HPL, do you use PCO, PCO Premium, Super Car, etc.

Not concerned about viscosity. Not concerned about OCI’s. Just interested in what us “oil nuts” use.

As a group, do we use the bottom, middle or top end of those 2 brands? Just those 2 great brands. Amsoil or HPL.

You have been on this Forum for 23 Years and you ask this Question.

I presently have Amsoil Signature Series in my daily driven pickup truck. I have Amsoil motorcycle oil in my street bike. I have a case of HPL Euro for my wife's car which will go in when I do my annual oil change in November. I have used HPL PCMO previously and have a couple of quarts left for the lawn mower.

I have used Amsoil Extended Life and OE in the past.

While is wasn't request, my viscosity grades are 5W-30, 10W-30, and 5W-40.

I currently use HPL PCMO (basic), but will also run HPL Premium Plus. I tried the Euro No VII as well.

The PCMO is the perfect choice for most people unless you want 20k+ OCIs intervals or have brutally harsh winters.

HPL Premium 0w20, I have also used their Premium Plus, Euro, and Overkill editions of 0W20 as well.

I really love being a cheapskate when it comes to boutique motor oil, even one as terrific as HPL is because I I think it is well worth every penny, but a part of me wants them to create an even less expensive 0w20 offering because I think their premium line has given me results every bit as good as their upper echelon lines for my purposes and I am confident that they could produce a lower priced 0w20 lube that would perform more than adequately for my needs. I would still be happy to buy their premium line product nonetheless.

We run HPL PCMO Premium Plus, HDEO Premium 5w20, 5w40, and 15w40 Cold Climate. All are extended drains. I just sent 5 samples in yesterday. 500 hours on a John Deere 6.8L and about 50,000 miles cumulative on the gas motors. I don't think there will be any reason to change any of them. We'll see what the data says.

LOL 😂
I’m trying to avoid hundreds of hours of reading. At my age, I’ll fall asleep in 12 minutes.

Which ones do you use?
I see what you are saying, I am using HPL CK-4 in my Riding Lawnmower, it is a fantastic oil. You want my opinion, and you had a good comeback to what I posted. LOL

To answer your question, with Amsoil I would use their SS line, with HPL I would give them a call and see what they say.

Sorta seems more people use the SS in Amsoil and the entry level in HPL.

Interesting. 🤔

Can't speak for Amsoil. But with HPL their entry line is already a very premium product. Most of us will see no benefit from the even more expensive lineup:

I initially used HPL Premium PCMO in my 2.5L Highlander hybrid but have since switched to their Premium Plus PCMO.

I sleep well at night knowing those low tension piston rings are getting PAO and Star Polymer VII………….😎

From Amsoil, only SS. The rest is Group III based, which is contrary to Amsoil's heritage.
Wish they made a Signature Series High Mileage 3.4 hths oil. No qualms with the SS line, but the lower tiers are just being counter to what they mocked the standard synthetic of being. Royal Purple in that category too with their Dexos line and the rebottled Kendall from Redline.
