What oil on local shelves has the highest amount of PAO?

You didn't state the grade oil.

I thought PAO was so special you had to get a prescription to buy it.

As it stands now:
M1 AP/EP 0w20/16.

Other graded of M1 EP/AP also use a certain amount of PAO.

Castrol 0w40.

Pennzoil makes it pretty clear they use GTL.

Motul Specific 508 509 0w-20 is all-PAO though. https://www.quickfds.com/out/18967-57826-12259-015155.pdf The VW 508/509 performance spec is so high it causes Motul to use the expensive PAO.

How can it be all PAO? Additives require a carrier oil. A 100% PAO oil would have some serious side issues too. That's why manufacturers blend oils to achieve the proper performance and specs.

Additive solubility for one. Seal compatibility is another. This is why base oils are blends. You can have a majority PAO base but there will be esters and some of the other groups mixed in.

Base oil makes up 70% to 90% of any fully formulated motor oil.

All-PAO means the base oil is all-PAO only.

High percentage PAO is good enough for any discussions. Yes, there are other chemicals and compounds in motor oil. I guess not everybody knows that, apparently.

Driven LS30 is on the shelf at Summit Racing and Jegs stores.
