The old forum software did not have a native app; and the major forum apps (ie. tapatalk) did not support this forum. But Xenforo appears to have a native app both for iOS and Android:

I haven’t used tapatalk, but I’m not sure what the advantage of, as this site worked absolutely perfect using UBB and now with XenForo on my iPhone

I've used tapatalk before on a few sites and didn't see the point. Most forums look fine on modern larger phones.

An app that only loads one webpage is like a credit card that only works at K-Mart. Why would you bother?

If it must happen, connect it to brickseek so oil nerds can scan UPCs in Walmart looking for secret oil deals.

I won't preach in favor of Tapatalk, and clearly many people haven't even seen it to even comment about, it really does provide a better experience and interface on mobile devices. I do know it requires a "module" on the server side, which costs money, so I'm not bringing it up further...
