I like the first one. Informative indeed. They mentioned Lexus. While IS250 is effected, IS350 is not. It all depends on design.

The open gap of the plug should be facing the injector-not away from it

DI engines are problematic - some better than others.
No way am I diving in, but in time we may all have to.

BTW, spark plug orientation is irrelevant with multiple electrode and wide gap modern ignition systems.
Who indexes plugs ? One out of 50,000,000?

I wouldn't expect anyone to be out there indexing plugs, but for a presentation, I would expect it to be right
