I have a 2002 Toyota Tacoma i need to change the transfer case fluid on. I bought a gallon of Lucas Heavy Duty 80W-90 Gear Oil to do front and rear diffs and the transfer case. But then i started wondering if the Lucas gear oil was compatible with the brass syncros in the transfer case. I know GL-5 fluid eats syncros and you need to run GL-4 in a syncronised transmission. The Lucas ear oil says "Exceeds Service Level API GL-4, API GL-5, API MT-1" So does this mean i can run this fluid in the Toyota transfer case without harming the syncros?
