It's Tri Nations Rugby,and the Bledisloe Cup.It may not mean much to the Yanks,or even to the Aussies where Rugby Union isn't the premiere sport - but here being an All Black is God.The Wallabies are a bit inconsistent over the years,sometimes they are hopeless and other times the best there is.

But this test is different - their coach was tipped to be the All Black coach for this season,but was looked over in place of the coach who lost us the World Cup.If we beat them,then we will know it was right decision not to take him on as coach.....if they win it'll be ''I told you so!''

The Springboks won a test match here a couple of weeks ago,their first test win on Kiwi soil for a very long time,and the very first Springbok win in Dunedin.But the Aussies beat the South Africans last week....hmmm....but it wasn't an important game to the Boks,beating the All Blacks was their aim.

Huge storm hitting here saturday night....I might sit up and watch both.
 
Rugby Union is a [censored] joke. They spend most of their time sitting around looking at 'injured' guys on the ground. Super 14 side the Bimboes had one game where the ball was in play for 29 minutes, less than a quarter of AFL football. Guess why AFL is the biggest game in Oz and pulls [censored] away fron League and Union every day. Oz Union boss says Union and League need to unite or AFL will bury them. And so it should!

i wish we could watch the tri-nations here in the states. i used to be able to watch it on Fox Sports World, but now we have Fox Soccer Channel.

o and i have a few all blacks jerseys i wear fairly often.

The Wallabies are master cheats,and their tactic in the Springbok match was to collapse the scrum.With a coach who knows every player in the other team extremely well because he has coached them before,and has also worked with his opposing coach - you can bet he has every All Black marked,and a strategy for every player....and some will be taken down for sure.The game is live on Sky,but delayed 2 hrs free to air - of course Sky owns the free to air channel.
 
Really, I was hoping for more hatred in this post. What a let down. Not even any harsh words.
 
Union is a joke, that's why it's the lowest participation football code of four in Oz. Like watching paint dry but worse. 155,000 AFL supporters turned up at the MCG in the last 12 hours. They are burying the other codes.

Union is pretty popular here in Sunny Downtown Lithgow, as is hockey.

Thugbeeleague absolutely amazed me when I moved to Canberra after Victoria and SA.

Give the ball to the opposition, then smash them was my first impression, and it hasn't changed a great deal in 28 years.
 
My father used to call League ''Push and Barge'' and Union ''Kick and clap''.I played both as a kid,and it didn't take a couple of seasons to figure out ball sports were not for me.Then I grew up and found motorcycles...been there ever since.

For NZ tonight this is not a rugby match between nations,but between coaches.Everyone wants the All Blacks to win....but they also want Robbie Deans success too.Tough....

I'm going for a Wallabies win....sniff.

sprint...I was born in Victoria, thugby is alien to me in either form...and I still refer to it as VFL.

speaking of aliens, did you see the guy introducing VFL to Kalifornia on the tele tonight ?
 
K1W1'S don't have a clue, I feel sorry for them but then no I don't they are born losers and then move to Oz. It's a [censored] game and they know it. Imagine a game worse than grid irion by far and that's Union. A game invented by the English but absorbed by the K1W1's. Sad really

5 minutes after kick off and we lost the signal.The major storm that moved south east over the country yesterday and last night must have taken out a booster station on one of the eastern ranges.In summer the storm would be called a cyclone,so pretty severe.

Anyway,as I predicted,a Wallaby win.The All Blacks are in trouble and they know it,the players are too inexperienced with lots of ball handling fumbles.The 14 year unbeaten record at Eden Park will be broken next weekend - then we will know which coach really should of been the All Black coach.
