Pennzoil is TOO GOOD to use on a bicycle, eh?

Hope so, I just scoooooooored!

Pennzoil 5W20 Dino (SM), closeout at Home Depot, .87 cents/Qt.. 14 quarts. Wintertime oil.

.97/Qt, HighMileage 10W30 Pennzoil (SL), 1.17/Qt. Bought 12 quarts. Summertime oil.

"Old" stuff, dusty bottles...

Folks, I tell ya, went through a Pep Boys today. ALL the oils were a minimum of $2.58 for plain old Dino, MaxLife was $3.68, various PP, Castrol "full" syn were 5.98, M-1 was 6.99. EP was $7.99

And I thought *I* was on druggs!

I use Havoline 5w-30 SL or Exxon Superflo 10w-30 SJ on mine.

And shouldn't this thread be moved?

It was a joke..

Yes, Pennzoil is too good to use on a bike..Ray said so.

Scored at Home Depot once again.

Prices are OUT OF CONTROL at PEP Boys..

Why should it be moved? It's about oil..

Well, I thought it was a "closeout", but there it was, 5W20 SM Yellow bottle for .87 cents? It makes NO sense, none of it. Like I said, every Dino in their inventory at PEP was 2.58, MaxLife and other blends blends were $3.68, but to see SuperSyn M1 and EP at $6.99, and $7.99 was a shock.

A little over EIGHT times the price of Pennzoil SM?

Either points out the rip off that is M1 lately, OR, the beauty of closeouts in Pennzoil..

I am amazed at how much more certain fungible items (i.e., a quart of motor oil or ATF) cost in some areas of the country vs. others...
