SuperTech ST16 got SHORTER!!!!!!!!!!!!

I buy about 10 ST16 oil filters at a time from Wal-mart for use on the two 4.0L Jeep engines and LandRover V8 over the past few years.

Yesterday I went to Wal-mart to stock up and the ST16 was shorter than it used to be! (For comparison the Fram PH16's ones in the isle were unchanged)

Are SuperTech filters still made by Champion Labs?

If they are going cheap, I may switch to Wix.

Maybe if you had read this website for the last few months you would know you have the next generation improved product with the shorter ST16.

why not switch to a ST8A, its just a larger version of the ST16 with the same threads and whatnot.

It's just a little tight on the 4.0. I use them, but you really look twice at the control arms. You would really have to stuff the axle up into the driver side wheel well to get it where it would hit it ..but it does make one nervous. They have a slight downward angle to the mount.

Try a Motorcraft FL300. Works well on my wife's Jeep.

The WIX 51068 makes a nice *higher capacity* substitute. I've using it for years on my wifes Jeep.
