Replaced ring connector on big starter wire because wire broke. Camry 1994 V6. Original cover for starter terminal broke and does not stay in place. What is best way to insulate the big starter terminal? Searching the usual auto parts stores shows battery terminal protectors. Pictures of starter and original terminal cover are below. Thanks

You’ll probably need to go to a dealership for that. Or maybe electrical tape.
If you're not worried about the way it looks , a big glob of RTV silicone will seal and insulate it .
You've got most of the functionality of the piece.
Maybe put in in place, use thin wire or string to hold it together THEN cover it with silicone sealer?

I would look at rubber/plastic battery terminal covers in a suitable size.

If you go for this solution, I'd want to use non-corrosive RTV....better yet just get a terminal cover from Aircraft Spruce.
I've seen it used in the electrical industry a zillion times and never saw signs of corrosion . Used it myself as well .
