Spilled 75% of my sample; worth sending off?

Made a careless error and knocked over my sample. Not sure if it’s enough to send off.

Call or email the lab and explain w/ photo of your amount of oil.

Do you have the original oil? Perhaps fill it with virgin and then assume wear metals are proportional to the dilution ratio. Thats how a lot of the actual analytical systems work anyway…. But talk to them first…

I don't have the original oil but that is a great idea. The guy wasn't too confident but said I may be able to get away with it. I'm going think about it.

Is it that important to have it done asap? Probably better off waiting. I am sure they have their reasons for a full fill.

Sent it - they don't need much oil. The last time I watched the process, it was a few CCs.
