This is how I've seen spice stored:
Get some berbere spice if you don't have any on hand.

I've got a bunch of those small jars. I can get the packs arranged like kschachn. It's just all those jars. I don't have space on my wall in the kitchen. The way my cabinet doors are made inhibits me from using those inside door wooden spice racks. IDK....
My grandmother stored some of her spices in the fridge and freezer.
Is Arrakis cool? I think not.
Only the surface is hot ...underneath it is cool and dry
Light and heat are spices worst enemies, best place is in a closed pantry. Spices also lose potency and flavor after a year so sometimes buying big containers of spices really isn't a good idea.
