I have a V6 2002 F150 single cab two wheel drive. A few years ago I replaced my blown shocks with Gabriel Pro Guards. They ride very harsh, and stiff. I can feel every little pebble on the road and if I run over a leaf.

I drive mostly on the highway, I’m looking for something more soft and comfortable. Thinking about Monroe OE spectrum or the Monro-Matics.

Anyone have experience with them with something similar to my truck?

Monroe shocks have always seemed like they were a bit soft to me.

Get the last 8 of the vin and call your local Ford dealer and see if you can still get oem shocks. They will probably ride the best.

Monroes are generally pretty soft, so you might be happy with them. Personally I prefer a bit stiffer shocks myself and did not like a set of Monroe OE Spectrums on a Suburban I owned - they felt too soft to me. But you would probably like them.
