The G3 barrel is a bit under 18". If the Germans were ok going that short I would argue with them. OTOH, the G3 was only sighted out to 400m.

Well I changed my mind and bought that stubby 783. I don't find the noise or concussion too bad but man does it flip up off target. Thinking of getting a compensator to help keep me on target.
