Draining the transfer case and manual recommends Majic J or euivalant for the refill. I see both amsoil and RP are compatiable. Transfer case takes about 2.3 quarts. This is for a Nissan Titan. Thanks

I use Amsoil ATF in both the jeep's NP231 transfer cases (naturally). I can't really say that I noticed a difference between it and +4 in my application ...but when you've got nothing to improve on

I got a lot more out of changing the diff's to Severe Gear.

I am sure a lot more people use Amsoil than Royol Purple. So do you want to walk the wide road use Amsoil? If you want to be the "Maverick" use Royal purple?

I use Amsoil and vote for it.

You can also use Mobil 1 ATF. By the way, Matic J is now officially discontinued and is replaced with Matic S.

Amsoil is the real deal. Although I don't hear much negative about RP, I also don't hear much positive. It may be the best there is, who knows. But with Amsoil, you know what you get.

I agree except I vote for the RP.
