This filter was off a friends 2019 Chevy Tahoe with 6.0 v-8 engine for almost 5,150 miles. Had whatever oil local shop near me used that was 0w20 and this piece of trash filter. Iā€™m speechless to be honest. I put in some M1 0w20 plain flavor and a AC DELCO PF 63E he supplied. Donā€™t know who makes these and wonā€™t ever install one. Enjoy the photos

Sadly, the ADBV was very soft. Iā€™m guessing itā€™s nitrile but šŸ¤”

What is the date code from the top of the can?

I agree it looks like a Purolator. They're known for torn media, and the elongated holes on the base plate are very common on Purolators.

I think if it was made by "Purolator" even in China, the can would probably have Mann+Hummel somewhere on the can. China copies designs all the time.

There was no date code. All I saw on top of can was ā€œleak testedā€

Leak tested is classic Premium guard Chinese filter wording. The base plate looks purolator and the bypass looks like wix. Who knows with this one. Great pictures.

It looks like a good filter. Until you get to the globed on glue and torn element. That tear is not good at all!! Thanks for posting this Stude.
